Ali Akbar Khan's Basic Yearly Schedule

February to November	teaches at the Ali Akbar College of Music (AACM) performs throughout the United States and Canada
November	performs throughout Europe and the Middle East teaches for one or two weeks at a branch school in Basel, Switzerland
December to January	performs in India

Ustad Ali Akbar Khan (Khansahib) leads a full and busy life passing on the ancient tradition of North Indian Classical Music. He constantly teaches, performs and produces outstanding recordings. For nine months of the year, he rigorously teaches a group of dedicated students at his own college, AACM, in San Rafael, California. During this period he receives numerous invitations to perform throughout the United States and Canada, traveling extensively, giving concerts to enthusiastic audiences. Each winter, Khansahib plans a one month trip to Europe and the Middle East to perform, give seminars, and teach at his branch of the AACM in Basel, Switzerland. Afterwards, he travels to India spending two or three months teaching and performing for enormous crowds.
